SentryLook connects to existing compatible camera infrastructure, enabling human-led remote monitoring without forced hardware replacement. This page explains how compatibility is evaluated and the operating boundaries of the service.

SentryLook is compatible with existing security camera systems that support standard streaming protocols. The service connects to your current infrastructure rather than requiring replacement.
Real-Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) is a standard network protocol used by many IP cameras and network video recorders (NVRs) for streaming video. SentryLook evaluates RTSP compatibility during the feasibility assessment phase.
Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) is a global standard for IP-based physical security products. Cameras and NVRs that support ONVIF can typically be integrated into the SentryLook monitoring framework after evaluation.
Compatibility is determined on a per-site basis. Not all camera systems are technically suitable for remote monitoring. The feasibility assessment confirms protocol support, network requirements, and stream viability before any monitoring engagement begins.
Before monitoring begins, SentryLook conducts a technical evaluation of your existing camera system to confirm operational viability.
You provide details of your existing camera system, including camera models, NVR configuration, and current network setup.
The SentryLook operations team evaluates RTSP, ONVIF, or other supported protocol compatibility, stream quality, and network bandwidth requirements.
If your system is compatible, SentryLook confirms the monitoring configuration, coverage plan, and schedule. If the system is not compatible, the assessment identifies the gap and discusses options.
Upon confirmation, the SentryLook operations team configures monitoring access, establishes SOPs, and initiates the agreed monitoring schedule.
SentryLook is a human-led remote monitoring service with defined operational boundaries. Understanding these limitations is essential for setting accurate expectations.
Two-way voice intervention is only available where customer-installed equipment (such as speakers or audio gateways) and service configurations support audio output. Voice intervention is not a universal capability and depends on site hardware readiness.
Emergency or police escalation depends on your specific service configuration, site requirements, local jurisdiction regulations, and agreed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). It is not a universal or guaranteed capability. SentryLook does not advertise guaranteed police dispatch or universal direct emergency calling.
AI-assisted detection tools are on SentryLook's internal technology roadmap for future operational support. Currently, all event monitoring, visual assessment, and SOP execution are performed directly by trained human SentryLook operators. AI is not advertised as a current customer feature.
SentryLook is compatible with systems that support standard streaming protocols such as RTSP or ONVIF. Not all camera systems meet technical requirements. Universal camera compatibility is not claimed. The feasibility assessment determines whether your specific system can be integrated.
